Davis Projects for Peace Grants

Applications for Davis Projects for Peace grants are now open to all International House residents and Graduate Fellows for summer 2021.

Davis Projects for Peace is an initiative for students at Davis United World College Scholars Program partner schools and International Houses Worldwide to design their own grassroots projects – anywhere in the world – which promote peace and address the root causes of conflict among parties. Applicants are encouraged to use their creativity to design projects and employ innovative techniques for engaging project participants in ways that focus on conflict resolution, reconciliation, as well as building, understanding, and breaking down barriers that cause conflict, and finding solutions for resolving conflict and maintaining peace. Through a competition among 90 campuses and member institutions of International Houses Worldwide, projects will be selected for funding up to $10,000 each.

Please contact the Director of International House, Denise Jorgens, at d-jorgens@uchicago.edu with any questions and to submit an initial project idea by December 1.
